August 27, 2020 - Cyber Awareness Day @ Davis-Monthan AFB
The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) - Southwest Chapter will host a Cyber Awareness Day at the Community Center on Davis-Monthan AFB on Thursday, August 27, 2020.
The purpose of the Cyber Awareness Day is to further educate employees, personnel, and contractors working at Davis-Monthan AFB by providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) industry speaker sessions on a wide variety of cybersecurity topics. Speaking lots are limited to six thirty-minute sessions. Exhibit Pop-Ups will be provided to each speaker and attendees will visit the pop-ups in-between each session.
Davis–Monthan Air Force Base is a key ACC installation. The 355th Wing (355 WG) provides A-10 Thunderbolt II close air support and OA-10 forward air controllers to ground forces worldwide. The 355 FW is also the host unit, providing medical, logistical, mission, and operational support to all assigned units. The 355 FW is also the sole formal training unit for the A-10 aircraft, providing initial and recurrent training to all U.S. Air Force A-10 and OA-10 pilots, to include those in the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) and the Air National Guard (ANG). The 355th is also ACC's executive agent for INF and START treaty compliance. One of the wing's tenant units, the 55th Electronic Combat Group (55 ECG), is a geographically separated unit (GSU) of the 55th Wing (55 WG) at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. The Twelfth Air Force (12 AF; Air Forces Southern, (AFSOUTH)) is a Numbered Air Force of the United States Air Force Air Combat Command (ACC) is also headquartered at Davis–Monthan Air Force Base.
COVID-19. NDIA is tracking new COVID-19 developments on a daily basis. We fully expect to hold a live event in August. However, we also have a plan in place to take the event virtual, if a live event is not possible. We will make sure that all exhibitors and sponsors get the maximum value out of the virtual event.

Brief Description of Session (4-5 sentences)
Topics of Interest: Threat Detection, Network Defense, Social Engineering, Insider Threats, Risk Management, Incident Response, CMMC Compliance for the DoD, and Training. All cyber topics will be considered.
