Reach Pacific Command personnel by joining us as a sponsor or exhibitor at the AFCEA Alaska Chapter's Cyber and IT Forum at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER). The purpose of this event is to further educate Cyber and IT warfighters at JBER on the latest cybersecurity strategies, remediation techniques, and resilience tactics. This will be accomplished through SME speaker sessions and an exhibit hall featuring cyber industry innovations and IT modernization advancements.

This Cyber & IT Forum is being supported and coordinated with the Office of the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) Deputy Director/Cybersecurity Division Chief, 59th Signal Battalion, and the regrouping AFCEA Alaska Chapter. Senior Leaders from the 59th Signal Battalion, 673rd Communications Squadron, and Alaska Command J6, are supporting the event.

 

The Signal Corps Regimental Association (SCRA) - Denali Chapter will also be co-host, and the event will take place on the Fort Richardson side of base at the Warrior Zone Community Center on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

The Cyber & IT Forum will focus on educating Pacific Forces end-users at JBER. Expect to see attendees from the 59th Signal Battalion, U.S. Army Alaska (USARAK), Alaska Command (ALCOM), 673rd Communications Squadron,  611th Air Communications Squadron, 176th Communications Squadron, and more.

About the 59th Signal Battalion 

​

The 59th Signal Battalion conducts strategic Signal operations to enable mission command for Joint, DoD, and U.S. Army Alaska (USARAK) organizations within Alaska and serves as the Continuity of Operations (COOP) for the Regional Cyber Center - Pacific (RCC-P). The 59th Signal Battalion has units and personnel at the three major Army installations in Alaska: Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Fort Wainwright, and Fort Greely with its primary headquarters at JBER. Charlie Company, 307th Expeditionary Signal Battalion is also co-located at JBER to provide expeditionary communications support to USARAK all across Alaska.

About JBER

 

Joint Base Elmendorf–Richardson (JBER), holds the distinction of being one of 12 DoD Joint Bases when Elmendorf AFB and Fort Richardson merged. The 673d ABW consists of four groups that operate and maintain the joint base for air sovereignty, combat training, force staging, and throughput operations in support of worldwide contingencies. The installation hosts the headquarters for the United States Alaskan Command, 11th Air Force, U.S. Army Alaska, 59th Signal Battalion, the Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Command Region, and more. JBER has over 31,000 service members and civilians employees.
